Ahwatukee Foothills is one of the City of Phoenix’s urban villages, tucked between South Mountain and the Gila River Indian Community. It is part of Phoenix, not a separate city. AZCO Properties’ office is here, and I’ve helped clients buy and sell across the Valley for 23 years. This guide covers how Ahwatukee is laid out, the types of homes, school resources, commute options, things to do, airports and a sourced market snapshot.
Lifestyle in Ahwatukee
Ahwatukee is bounded by South Mountain Park/Preserve to the north and west and Interstate 10 to the east. Because it is part of Phoenix, city services, zoning and permits come from the City of Phoenix.
The Census Bureau does not publish separate QuickFacts for Ahwatukee because it is a Phoenix village, not a city or CDP. Ask us for neighborhood-level sales data.
